While there is a strong family resemblance between the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra models, some key differences have been spotted.
Based on leaked photos, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a much more powerful 200MP camera than the 50MP of the other two models. The Galaxy S23 Ultra appears to be less curved at the corners than the other two models.
All three models are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system on a chip and a 120Hz dynamic OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,750 nits. The Galaxy variant though is said to benefit from “special optimized” performance. In terms of battery capacity range, the S23 has a 3,900mAh battery onwards, while the Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery onwards.
The US prices have not yet been announced, but we expect them to be broadly similar to the S22 range. Although the strong dollar may be the exception, with European and Australian prices edging up slightly due to the rising exchange rate.
Samsung is expected to open pre-orders on February 1, the day Samsung Unwrapped is launched. In the US you can reserve your spot in advance, as well as get a $50 Samsung Store credit.
