Those who like foldable phones but want a more compact and affordable device should consider flip phones. The flip phone is a direct descendant of the fashion icons of the mid-noughties, and it is an excellent introduction to the foldable world.
As of right now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is leading the pack. With a top-of-the-line processor and superb battery life, this device offers fast performance. A number of other phones have tried to topple the Z Flip 4, including the Motorola Razr 2022. Despite the phone’s promising looks, it had a poor battery life.
Currently, there’s another challenger poised to disrupt flip phones. Oppo Find N2 Flip design appeared set to threaten the Z Flip 4.
There is a lot of information on the spec sheet. There is 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM, which can be expanded up to 16 GB through a virtual RAM expansion. The internal 6.8-inch AMOLED display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD resolution. Whilst the external 3.26-inch screen is equipped with the same technology but with a 60Hz refresh rate. The displays will be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
There is no doubt that the external display is the highlight of the show. It has the largest external display of any flip phone on the market, so you can use it without unfolding it. This hinge is rated for 400,000 openings, a pretty decent number for a revolutionary screen flip design. It’s double what Samsung claims the Z Flip 4 can do.
With its 4,300mAh battery, your flip phone should last all day. When you do need to charge, SUPERVOOC charging at 44W gives you a 25% boost in just 10 minutes.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which provides top-tier performance. A dual 50MP and 8MP camera array with Hasselblad color processing allows for excellent image quality. Also on board is a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. What’s more, the Find N2 Flip will arrive in Astral Black and Moonlit Purple shades.
Price is going to be the most important aspect of this device. This could be the best flip phone on the market if Oppo can release it for less than $860. If this product is going to succeed, its specs must match its price.
The Find N2 Flip is unlikely to be shown at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech exhibition at the end of February, according to tech insider Snoopy.
