On February 13, 2023, the prices of apps and in-app purchases on the App Store will increase in Colombia, Egypt, Hungary, Nigeria, Norway, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. This excludes auto-renewable subscriptions.
App Store prices in Uzbekistan are set to decrease as it will reflect a reduction of the value-added tax rate which has been lowered down from 15% to 12%.
The company has also announced that the prices in the App Store won’t change in Ireland, Luxembourg, Singapore and Zimbabwe. However, the proceeds in these countries will be updated to reflect tax adjustments. Local developers selling to Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Tajikistan, Thailand and Uzbekistan will also see increased profits by the end of January.
In the event you are looking for a way to save money on the App Store, keep an eye out for deals on Apple Store gift cards. Retailers sometimes do deals where you can get, for example, a $50 gift card for $45. Although the savings are not huge, they are still worth considering when purchasing expensive app purchases at a discounted price.
