A sneak peek of the Oppo Watch 3 reveals a sleek, rectangular display similar to the Apple Watch, while the Watch 3 Pro has a curved display. With a single digital button and a crown, Oppo’s latest flagship smartwatch differs from its predecessor Oppo Watch 2.
Originally posted on Chinese social network Weibo, the Watch 3 is available in classic stainless buckles and smooth leather straps in four highly raved colors – black, dark gray, silver, and light gold. The Oppo watch is said to be equipped with an ECG app and sensor, and low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) display.
In comparison to the Snapdragon Wear 4100, the upgraded Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset processor is said to offer 50 percent longer battery life. This is twice the performance of its predecessor yet 30 percent smaller for a slimmer, lighter fit.
For comparison, the Oppo Watch 2 was released in China in 2021 and is available in display options of 1.75-inch and 1.91-inch AMOLED with 60Hz refresh rate and 3D glass protection.
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 and a custom Apollo 4s coprocessor, the Watch 2 features a sub-second response time. The device comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of onboard storage.
There are over 100 sports modes on the Oppo Watch 2, in addition to 24/7 heart rate tracking and blood oxygen saturation measurement. It also monitors stress, sleep, and snoring. The watch is also water-resistant to 5ATM (50 meters).
The next Samsung Unpacked 2022 takes place on August 10, at 9am EST or 6am Pacific Time.
