Two months after the GoPro Hero 11 Black was released, the Hero 11 Black Mini is finally available, after its original release date was pushed back from 18 November.
The Hero 11 Black Mini is a compact cube camera that is 13% smaller and lighter than the full-sized version of the device, while still maintaining the same level of video quality.
With its tiny size and dual mounting fingers, the Hero 11 Black Mini is incredibly versatile and easy to use. This means it can capture 5.3K-resolution clips at 60 frames per second, 4K at 120 frames per second, and 2.7K at 240 frames per second.
To offer a lightweight experience, this miniature GoPro Hero 11 Black lacks a screen to cater for adventurers and athletes who don’t want to carry around bulky equipment. It is also designed specifically for action photography, with the regular Hero 11 Black being perfect for both stationary and moving footage.
For its high frame rates and resolutions, the GoPro HERO11 Mini needs motion to keep its entire rear cool. What’s more, it is also waterproof up to 33ft (10 meters) deep with the door latch closed.
A 360-degree Horizon Lock feature is also included, as are three new time-lapse presets for capturing star trails, light paintings, and vehicle light trails for pro-quality results.
Although the Mini is powered by a smaller 1,500mAh Enduro Lithium-ion battery, the run time is comparable to the larger model as there is no screen to drain it. The downside is that the battery cannot be swapped out if it runs out of power.
The Hero11 Black Mini is available now on GoPro.com for US$399.99, or at 30% off at US$299.99 for GoPro Subscribers, with wider retail availability coming soon.
The already-available HERO11 Black is now on sale for $449.99, with an extra 10% off for GoPro subscribers. GoPro’s subscribers can purchase the HERO11 Black Creator Edition for a discount off the retail price of $649.99.
