Amazon Prime is available on some of the most used TVs around, along with 8 other popular smart TVs on the market. This includes Apple TV, Fire TV Stick 4K, Android TV, Google TV Chromecast, PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Roku.
What’s new on Amazon Prime Video
Personalized screen sizes, upgraded search functions, and a user-friendly dashboard are some highly anticipated key enhancements.
Significant improvement in Amazon Prime Video’s navigation
Featuring a simple column of icons on the left screen, the application is equipped with the search function, home, the Prime Video Store, as well as a top 10 trending carousel banner. The dashboard interface is similar to those of Netflix, Disney+ or Apple TV, as while it aims to compete with other streaming companies like Hulu and HBO in terms of movie quality and quantity.
Solid library of streaming content
As an Amazon Prime member, you will have access to Prime Video, an extensive streaming service that offers a massive library of movies, shows, and even games.
Plans and pricing
It’s so much easier to see what’s actually included in your Prime Video subscription and what will cost extra. Shows and movies that won’t cost you extra to watch are labeled with a blue tick in the description box. For anything else that requires rental or purchase, are marked with a shopping bag icon.
There is still a lot of promotional content and third-party channels featured on Amazon Prime, but it’s not as overwhelming as before.

Good news is, Prime is available for 30 days free trial. After your free trial, Prime membership costs $14.99 per month – in comparison to $10 the average price of a movie ticket in the U.S. It comes with tons of benefits, but most of them are direct Amazon-related products and services, not those offered by third parties.
There is, however, one downside for Apple TV users, and that’s the lack of support for older models. Although the 2012, third-gen Apple TV still has full access to the Prime Video service, it isn’t getting the new interface.
As of now, Amazon Prime does not offer the Apple TV for free. At a cost of $4.99 per month, Apple TV needs to be purchased independently of the Amazon Prime membership.
This is the case for all Prime members – including those who use Fire Stick or have a Fire TV. However, Apple TV is usually offered for free for three months to customers who purchase an Apple device.
