Gaming

We did not include a single HP laptop on our list of Best Gaming Laptops, which doesn’t mean they can’t be used for gaming, but they just don’t meet the same criteria as Dells. Of those laptops, we particularly like the Dell G5 SE and the Alienware Area-51m R2.

As far as gaming laptops go, Dell’s G5 SE gaming laptop isn’t the best of the best (the Razer Blade 15 is the best option), but it is a good entry-level option for those who are just getting started with gaming or those who are on a budget. What it lacks in style, it makes up for in specs. The Dell G5 SE gaming laptop has an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, an AMD Radeon RX 5600M graphics card, and a 144Hz 1080p display. During the review of this laptop, we praised its 144Hz refresh rate, its performance in games, and the performance of its CPU.

The Dell Alienware Area-51m R2 gaming laptop is worth a closer look if you have a bigger budget to work with. At its lowest priced configuration, it features a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor, a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics card, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, and a 17.3 inch FHD display. As a gaming laptop, it’s certainly heavy-duty, even when it comes to its weight: nearly nine pounds.Think of it as more of a replacement for a desktop setup.

Dell vs HP – Company History

Dell Inc. is a multinational corporation that designs, develops, and produces Dell computers (PC’s) and other computer-related items.
